Match Report

A return to Cleveland saw Sunderland west end as our opponents, twice in a fortnight.

With a few lads missing, we started off really well, on the front foot from the start. The first half saw us creating lots of chances having good possession. The away keeper again making some superb stops. However on 20 minutes we saw Ryan Fisher sustain a bad ankle injury. His replacement Kieran Smith slotted in superbly and created the first goal with a fine run and cross to pick out Evan Peareth.

Sunderland had some first half chances with the ball pinging around the box,, but a lovely move in the 44th minute saw Evan lob the ball into Jake Howard's path and he made it 2-0 with a good strike.

Half time:

Cleveland hall 2-0 Sunderland West end.

Second half and  the best move of the game saw several passes and Liam Paxton whipping a cross in and Owen Brearton rising to head Cleveland's third. Our fourth came in the 58th minute after Josh Bickerstaff played Jake Howard through, and he turned inside out to fire low into the right hand corner.

With substitutions made, Fin Gibson had a great effort saved, but it was five minutes later he outpaced the right back  and squared it for Evan Peareth to claim his brace.

Final score:

Cleveland hall u17 5-0 Sunderland West end
